We would like to provide some clarity regarding the teacher strike and upcoming lockout in Alberta. While we respect and support teachers across the province and the reasons behind their actions, Suzuki Charter School teachers are not members of the bargaining association.
As a result, although provincial strike action began on Monday, October 6 and a lockout is scheduled for October 9, our school will continue to operate as usual. Out-of-school care programs and clubs will also continue as normal. However, inter-school sports games will be paused for the duration of the strike and lockout.
