School History
Suzuki Charter School evolved from one class of 18 kindergarten students in 1985, to a K-6 elementary school accommodating over 300 students. It is the first and only publicly funded school in the world that combines a comprehensive academic curriculum with a music program based on the Suzuki method. Dr. Suzuki believed that successful results would occur if the principles of the “Mother Tongue” approach were applied to all fields of learning.
